For those of you that wonder about why there would be tons of articles written on how to make cappuccino, the fact is this, cappuccino is easy to make, but a good one is not easy to produce.

Many of us grew up with coffee makers and in this younger generation, many of you would be growing up with single serve and espresso makers, so how to make cappuccino has never been a concern to you.

Many Latinos just enjoy a good cup of Cuban coffee or cafe Cubano - as it is often called. And when I say enjoy I do mean enjoy. For sitting down with a good cup of Cuban coffee is more than just drinking coffee, it is a social event.

Sharing a cup of coffee is an expression of friendship, like a warm embrace.

It is a daily morning ritual for many Cubans and Cuban Americans alike. In fact it is a ritual that occurs throughout the day at many little Cuban restaurants all over. People line up for their little shots of Cuban coffee.

Cuban coffee is also called a cafecito and is served in little thimble-sized cups.

There are two basic methods for making a good cup of Cuban coffee. The traditional way is using a metal stovetop espresso pot or a moka pot. The other way is to use an electric espresso machine. Although using the stovetop coffee maker takes longer it is a more authentic method of making Cuban coffee.
